Highlights
At École des Ponts Business School, founded by a woman, we believe in the transformative power of Women in Business and are committed to promoting equity, innovation, and leadership excellence. We walk the talk by putting our money where our mouth is, offering tangible support to women advancing their careers.
Since the inception of the LeadTech Global Executive MBA program, a dual-degree EMBA offered jointly with EADA Business School Barcelona, we have been offering a 32% Women in Business Scholarship. Why? Because the pay gap in Europe in 2019 stood at 16%, and we took that figure and doubled it.
Despite progress, the European Gender Pay Gap remains at 13%, and globally, women earn 20% less than their male counterparts (sources: European Commission, ILO). Women are also underrepresented in senior management roles, especially in OECD countries. As an educational institution, it is our responsibility to help level the playing field.
We are proud to have achieved gender parity in our programs so far, but we realize we need even more women in our classrooms if we want to impact the gap of women in senior management positions in organizations.

I was thrilled to attend the Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs graduation ceremony for my young friend-like-family and mentee, Sanika Govekar.
Sanika embarked on her journey to pursue a Master's in #Environmental Policy two years ago, when our common friend Rajendra Iyer and his wife Pooja Iyer put her in touch with me, even before Sanika arrived in Paris. I was able to accompany Sanika every step of the way, from visa processing to finding housing, learning about French culture to securing a fantastic internship at Amundi with the #ESG Development team, balancing assignments, job hunting, and simply enjoying being a young person in the incredible city of Paris, where we are fortunate to live.
I have learnt that while it is easier to be a student today than it was when I came to France in 1992, it remains tough when one is alone. Over the past couple of years, I have been a sounding board for Sanika, being there for her when she needed to discuss an issue or a project. Today, I want to show up for Sanika by asking my network and extended community to help her find her first #job in Paris in #ESG, ESG reporting, or corporate sustainability. If you have any opportunities for Sanika, please DM me or, even better, Sanika herself. She's an amazing young woman with the right attitude, great work ethic, and a purpose to make a positive impact on our planet.
Sanika had a positive impact on me personally, too. When a few friends (Shruti Sutwala, Santosh Krishna Prasad, and Sridevi Raghavan) and I set out to create the MentorIN.FR initiative, the project became more limpid to me because I was able to follow Sanika's journey.
If France is to welcome 30,000 Indian students by 2030, we have work to do. The annual mentorship event MentorIN.FR organised in April 2024, in collaboration with the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Franco Indienne and generously hosted by Ambassador Jawed Ashraf at the Embassy of India, is just a drop in the ocean and a step in the right direction to encourage more professionals to help Indian students and young graduates find their footing in France. Every foreign student coming to France deserves to have a mentor, and we should all do what we can to play our part. All it takes is a bit of attention and care, and a conversation over coffee every now and then. What it gives young people is confidence with a big C and a feeling of not being alone in a foreign city, which is priceless.
Join me in wishing Sanika all the very best in her new life as a Sciences Po grad!
Many thanks to Dean Arancha Gonzalez Laya and to the entire Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences Po for their unwavering support and dedication to their students' success.
