Hoang Thi Kim Dzung is an early-stage startup investor and the Country Director for Genesia Ventures Vietnam. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, she has been actively involved in seed and early-stage investments across Vietnam and Southeast Asia since joining Genesia Ventures in 2019. She initially served as an Associate until February 2023, when she became the Country Director. Her investment portfolio includes notable Vietnamese startups such as eDoctor, BuyMed, Vietcetera, Fundiin, Selly, M Village, Rootopia, and Wareflex.1

Dzung has a diverse educational background. She was a recipient of the prestigious Japanese Government's MEXT Scholarship and completed her bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics at Osaka University. She also holds certificates from Harvard Business School Online in "Leading with Finance" and "Disruptive Strategy," which have further enhanced her expertise in venture capital and strategic management.1

Before joining Genesia Ventures, she worked at IBM Japan as a Customer Representative in Global Market Sales, where she won the Client Experience Award. Additionally, she founded GStabi, a travel media platform aimed at connecting local people with foreign travelers in Japan.1

Dzung is fluent in Vietnamese, Japanese, and English and is passionate about supporting startups through her blog "ZunZun Startups," where she shares insights and lessons learned from her professional experiences.1
