Holly Ennis

Genomics Policy Lead

Holly Ennis is a dedicated professional with a background in the history of medicine. She holds a PhD and an MSc from the University of Manchester and a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Sheffield.

With years of experience in research and coordination, Holly has worked in various roles, including project coordinator and research associate at the University of Manchester's Centre for Musculoskeletal Research.

Her expertise extends to clinical trials management and epidemiological studies, particularly in areas like Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). She has also been involved in health economics research projects utilizing Scottish administrative datasets.

Holly has undergone specialized training in biosafety and has contributed to the field as a tutor in the MSc in Clinical Trials program at the University of Edinburgh.

In 2022, Holly transitioned to the Civil Service in Scotland, specifically working on genomic medicine policy within the Directorate of the Chief Operating Officer of NHS Scotland.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Holly enjoys reading and has a passion for running.
