Highlights
I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as a Data Scientist at Amazon.
I’ll be working with the PXT Central Science team, focusing on people solutions. This opportunity will challenge me as a quantitative researcher in social science, allowing me to dive deeper into behavioral science studies to understand how demographics, human nature, and economics interact in solution-making.
I’m thrilled to collaborate with top data experts and economists at Amazon, a global leader in the industry. Bringing a data-driven mindset to underdeveloped areas has always been my passion. I look forward to seeing where this experience and skill training take me.
Last week, I officially graduated from Harvard University with a Doctor of Design degree, specializing in housing economics.
As the Class of 2024, we’ve faced COVID, wars, economic downturns, and many unexpected challenges. Life isn’t easy, nor is sticking to our dreams. I'm thus extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to grow with the help and guidance of my advisor, Richard Peiser.
As a Harvard graduate, I didn’t achieve this alone. It took the support of many people and the collective spirit of my cohorts and predecessors who shaped Harvard into this incredible place. I’ve faced setbacks and risen again, thanks to the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies and the UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) for giving me opportunities to test and learn.
My experiences at Harvard have profoundly shaped my mindset. As student representative Shruthi Kumar said in her commencement speech, “I found myself redefining this feeling of not knowing, discovering a newfound power in how much I didn’t know.” Harvard has taught me to be receptive, resilient, and driven.
In just a few days, I’m embarking on my next journey. No matter what, I remind myself to always appreciate the journey and give 100%. As Jensen Huang said, “Either you're running for food, or you are running from becoming food. And oftentimes, you can't tell which. Either way, run!”
Now, I’m ready to run. Good luck to everyone! 🎉
