Ian Papautsky

Richard and Loan Hill Professor of Bioengineering at University of Illinois at Chicago

Ian Papautsky is a distinguished academic with a strong background in Biomedical Engineering, having earned a BS from Boston University and a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Utah.

He currently holds the position of Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computing Systems at the University of Cincinnati.

Ian Papautsky is known for his significant contributions to the field of microfluidics, particularly in point-of-care sensor systems and lab-on-a-chip cell separations.

He serves as the Co-Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Center for Advanced Design and Manufacturing of Integrated Microfluidics (CADMIM) and as the Director of the Ohio Center for Microfluidic Innovation (OCMI).
