Highlights
I’m officially a Product Marketing Manager for Harmony SASE at Check Point Software! 🚀
"But Ian," I hear you say, "isn't that what you've always been doing?"
Well, yes and no.
This isn't a major shift in my day-to-day duties.
When I started, Perimeter 81, a Check Point Company was looking for a capable writer to join the product marketing team. Someone that could support demand generation and sales efforts and explain the product to the wider world.
That hasn't changed, but there's always been a lot more to this role than writing.
I'm looking forward to continuing my work and am grateful for the support of, and collaboration with, an incredible team (both past and present).
💪✨

It's Monday, and today is my first official day as part of the product marketing team at Perimeter 81. I met the company co-founders Sagi Gidali and Amit Bareket when they were running SaferVPN--a service I reviewed several times at PCWorld.
Once they sold SaferVPN to create a B2B company, however, they were no longer part of my beat. Even so, I always kept an eye on Perimeter 81, and when the opportunity came to be a part of Gily Netzer's marketing team, I took it.
I am very excited to get started and help companies enable secure access to their on-premises and cloud resources in this world of remote and hybrid work.
And now the mandatory new-hire swag pic (awesome backpack not pictured):
