Last week's Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe vs. Wade was disappointing and disheartening for this country. We are firm believers in the precedent that Roe vs. Wade established -- that a person is responsible for their body and their reproductive rights. It is something that we are all passionate about here at RapidAPI and will continue to advocate for whenever possible. I published the below note to RapidAPI employees last week and am inspired and encouraged to see a rising number of companies and leadership teams stepping up to support employees and their dependents on this cause. Together we can make a difference.

Internal Memo: Following the news today about the US Supreme Court decision to overrule Roe v. Wade, family planning options are going to become limited for our employees in certain states. In response, we are going to extend our medical benefits program to ensure all Rapid team members have access to family planning options wherever they live.

Moving forward, any employee or insurance covered dependent that is unable to receive elective abortions and other pregnancy related services within a 100 miles of where they live will get full reimbursement for any travel costs required to get such services. No questions asked.
