My mom was diagnosed with diabetes several years ago and was put on insulin and a raft of medicines. This was a really difficult time for her because her own mother, my grandmother, had been diagnosed with diabetes some years before. My grandmother was unfortunate in that her own diabetes was caught late. So late in fact that her left leg had to be amputated due to a diabetes complication. So you can imagine my mother's trepidation following her diabetes diagnosis.

Following the initial shock, my mother took the challenge of managing her diabetes head on, revolutionizing her own lifestyle in the process. Several years after her diagnosis she sent me her hba1c result that measures how well her diabetes is managed. I had to rub my eyes a few times in disbelief. Her hba1c had returned to prediabetic levels. As a doubting Thomas, I had her attend a friend's lab in Abuja to confirm it and the result was the same:

"hba1c within normal levels".

I couldn't believe it, my mom had successfully reversed her diabetes. Her doctor soon stopped all her insulin and diabetes medications and she has remained diabetes free till this day. How did she do it?

As a doctor that treats people with diabetes I wondered why this diabetes reversal option wasn't mainstream. I'd personally never encountered it much in my training and practice despite it being low cost and effective. This is why when I met Tito Ipinmoye, RD who has a tested and tried process for helping Nigerians to reverse their diabetes I knew we had to work together.

Using the same principles my mother used to reverse her diabetes, we've launched diabetes reversal clinics in Lagos, Abuja and Uyo to teach and guide people with diabetes on how they can reverse their diabetes, get off expensive medicines and live a healthy lifestyle.
