Highlights
I was interviewed for BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Services) this morning by Kam Kelly, an award winning broadcaster to discuss wellbeing in the military. It was a great discussion, covering topics from social isolation and the super power of building connections, through to the protective mental health benefits of thirty minutes of daily physical activity. I was delighted to be told that BFBS are interested in this being a regular monthly feature to keep listeners engaged in thinking and learning about wellbeing. Radio is such a powerful medium for creating community and influencing conversations. It got me thinking how powerful it would be for companies and organisations to introduce their own radio stations! I’d love to hear your thoughts! #wellbeing #communitybuilding #connectionsmatter #radio
❤️Investing in our future❤️
Hearing in the news this morning of the first ever jazz band to win the Mercury Prize, has left me hugely inspired…and not just because I’m a jazz fan!
It shows the power of hope. The impact of positive attention on young and impressionable people. The importance of fostering and nurturing young talent, “Most importantly Ezra Collective represents something very special because we met in a youth club. This moment that we’re celebrating right here is testimony to good, special people putting time and effort into young people to play music. Right now, this is not just a result for Ezra Collective, this is not just a result for UK jazz, this is a special moment for every single organisation across the country ploughing their efforts and time into young people playing music.” Femi Koleoso, band leader.
This is a moment for everyone all around the world who is dedicated to investing in our future through the most precious resources of the purest forms of humanity - the belief of humans in each other and of their potential to make a difference ❤️
