🎎 June 22, 17:08-my local time

Today marks my final day in Vietnam, concluding a remarkable 3-months experience. During this time, we organized the first offline #PentaBAR event in Da Nang and grew closer as a team in Hanoi and Da Nang, also. From the beginning, I was truly captivated by the positive energy radiated by our Vietnamese colleagues and the people I interacted. And trust me when I say they are always in a good mood!

While it's challenging to pinpoint the exact source of this positive energy, I have some ideas: 😴Their power-naps during lunch breaks. 🍚The delicious fruits, healthy vegetables, endless servings of rice and the countless bowls of soup. 🫖Their daily habit of drinking tea. 🥑Minimal sugar intake and almost no alcohol. ☕The strong coffee they enjoy. 🎤Their love for zumba and karaoke. 🏓Their intensive ping-pong tournaments.

As for experiencing cultural shock, I can honestly say I did encounter some difficulties: 🛵The traffic - at the beginning, nothing gave me more anxiety than crossing the street. In streets flooded with many, many motorbikes honking all day long, it seemed like a mission impossible for me to get from one side of the street to the next. ☀️The weather - coming from 5 degrees and snow and landed at HOT temperature, scorching sun and high humidity. 🍚The food - it is like “yin and yang”: the sweet and the salty, the cooling and the warming, the frying and the boiling where rice is the center of everything like a sun lying in the center of our solar system. 🥢Eating with chopsticks - always an entertaining task for me. 😃

🎎Dear Vietnamese colleagues, you have an incredibly beautiful country! Among the many places I visited, I fell in love with Tam Giang Lagoon because nothing was more wonderful and soothing than sitting on the boat and looking at the beauty of the sunset while exploring the mystery of the lagoon. During my time here, I experienced things I had never tried before: fishing for fish and crabs, traveling by tuk-tuk, pottery making, a professional photo shoot in Vietnamese traditional costume and attending a water puppet theater.

⛩️None of these amazing experiences would have been possible without the support of such a caring team. A special "thank you" goes to Anh, who is the definition for the perfect host. She was my friend, my travel planner, shopping consultant, motorbike driver, translator and food advisor. 💛

🏮I am grateful for this unforgettable experience and the precious memories I have created. Starting tomorrow, I will be back in Romania, but a part of my heart will always remain in Vietnam, with Mai, Anh, Tuong, Hoang, Dung, Thư and the rest of the team. We have ambitious KPIs and objectives to achieve! 🔔

Lastly, but certainly not least, I want to express my gratitude to Pentalog for providing me with this opportunity. Monica, 🌐 Dan AVRAM , Georgiana thank you for turning this idea into reality. 🌺

Hello #Timisoara! I am very excited to announce that next week there’s going to be a new #PentaBAR!

My colleagues from Timisoara are an amazing group of people that have inspired the creation of a physical office which was opened officially last year, on November 1.  To make things more fun, Tobiás Zoltán held his first PentaBAR in the capital city of #Banat: "Typescript Lessons after 1 Million Lines of Code" (check out the message below for a link to watch the replay of this great offline event).   🗓On February 15, Cătălin Mihai a #TDD expert & FullStack Developer at Pentalog, will be the host of the second #offline event in Timisoara. Let him be your guide to learning how to write better tests, improve the quality of your #code and increase your productivity!

🔔#Savethedate: February 15, at Cowork Timisoara – The Office.
