This year's WWDC Keynote was the most impressive I've seen in recent years! Here are my top 10 favorite new features and apps coming with iOS 18:

  1. 💸 Tap To Cash: Imagine sending money just by tapping the tops of your phones together through NFC. It's incredible! Fingers crossed it will be available in the Nordics, very, very soon!

  2. 🔒 Locked and Hidden Apps: We all have personal apps we'd rather keep private. With this new feature, you can lock apps requiring FaceID for access, making it much easier to lend your phone to your daughter to play the game she really loves. Hidden apps go in a concealed folder, invisible to anyone borrowing your phone. As a big fan of the McDonald's loyalty app, I'm thrilled about this added privacy!

  3. ❤️ Apple Health: Apple Health app is getting a massive upgrade with a more personalized and customizable dashboard, now also accessible in VisionOS. A new "Training Load" mode will help you track workout progress and performance. This looks really promising!

  4. 👩‍⚕️ Vitals: The new Vitals app provides valuable insights into your health data, highlighting important changes. I can't wait to try this out; it could revolutionize how we understand our health data.

  5. 🔐 Passwords App: Storing passwords on iCloud via Keychain is great, but the new Passwords app makes it even easier and more accessible across devices and platforms, including Windows. This could be a game-changer, giving 1Password true competition.

  6. 🤖 Apple Intelligence: Apple has rebranded AI as "Apple Intelligence" and introduced it as "AI for the rest of us." With smart, intuitive, and personalized tools built with safety and privacy at its core, Apple is making AI accessible to everyone. Users can now summarize notifications, texts, emails, and more with these smart tools. Plus, a new partnership with ChatGPT brings Siri to a whole new level, and it’s even free.

  7. 🎛️ Controls API: The control dashboard has received a significant upgrade with more customizable options. Third-party developers can now add new controls to the dashboard, such as starting your Tesla’s heater. I’m excited to see what new functionalities will emerge!

  8. 📱 iPhone Mirroring: Finally, you can access and use your iPhone directly from your Mac through a new app. You can type with the keyboard, use apps, and even drag photos and files between devices. This feels truly magical.

  9. 💻 Xcode Generative AI Tools: Xcode is getting predictive code completion, running locally on your Mac and available offline. Swift Assist will answer coding questions in natural language. I can’t wait to try these new tools!

  10. 🎧 AirPods Voice Isolation: A future update for AirPods will introduce a new voice isolation feature, making it easier for others to hear you on calls. This is much needed!

And there was so much more exciting news!

What do you love most about this year's WWDC Keynote?

Let’s talk about screenshots in the App Store! 🌟👋

I think it’s really fascinating how many companies don't care about how their apps appear in the store. In the competitive space of the App Store, first impressions matter more than we might think!

Consider the way we shop for physical products. What draws your attention and convinces you to pick one product over another? It's not just the product itself, but how it's presented to us. The colors, the packaging, the visuals—all these elements play a crucial role in our decision-making process.

Here are my tips for screenshots in the App Store: 📲 → Instead of simply listing the features, describe how the app benefits the user. → Use colors, be creative and stand out from the crowd, get their attention. → Don’t use small texts, remember that the screenshots appear as tiny images. → The first three screenshots matter the most. → Don’t do videos, unless you are a professional. → If you have a marketing team, make sure you involve them.

Oh, and btw, which versions of the screenshots do you think would do better? 🙌
