Ivana Savic

Environmental Human Rights Lawyer

Ivana Savic is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in Human Rights, Rights of the Child, Democratic Governance, Sustainable Development, International Public Law, Environmental Law and Policy, Energy Law, and Equality Law. She holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Faculty of Law, UNION University, and has pursued Diplom Jurist and International Law studies from Union University. Additionally, she has expanded her expertise with studies in Political Skills and Marketing, Women's and Gender Studies, and further legal studies at Leiden University and University of Belgrade.

Throughout her career, Ivana has been involved in various roles, including serving as an Independent Consultant, researching Energy and Climate Change Sustainable Development Goals at Belgrade Open School, and contributing as a Research Consultant for the Government of the Republic of Serbia. She has also coordinated youth participation initiatives, worked with the German Institute for Human Rights on Children's Rights in Development, and contributed to youth empowerment projects with UN-Habitat.

Moreover, Ivana has been actively engaged in national and international platforms, such as the Serbian National Youth Strategy, United Nations programs, and civil society advisory committees. She has founded the Centre for Human Rights and Development Studies (CHRDS), and has been a driving force behind numerous youth-focused initiatives, training courses, and advisory groups. Her extensive experience includes working with organizations like UNDP, UNEP, and CIVICUS, showcasing her commitment to youth empowerment, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
