I'm excited to share my team's incredible achievement this past weekend at the Penn Blockchain Hackathon. Together with my team, Graffito, we developed a groundbreaking IP marketplace that advocates fair compensation for artists and sets new standards in transparency and ethics in GenAI model training datasets. We bring together artists and GenAI platforms through the innovative use of decentralized applications and smart contracts powered by Aptos Labs and NEAR Foundation.
I am thrilled to share that my team was recognized with four prizes -- Top 2 Overall, Best Social/Impact, Best Use of NEAR, and Best Use of Aptos. Exploring the potential of Web3 and addressing the challenges faced by artists in the era of GenAI has been incredibly enlightening.
It was great working with Madelyn Dempsey and Sean Cho. Thanks for your dedication and creativity in bringing Graffito's vision to life!
Thank you Maayan Savir and Jarrod Barnes for judging and seeing the promise in our project! It was very rewarding for my team to get an opportunity to learn about your amazing technologies, get hands-on training during workshops, and receive support and feedback.
This past Friday marks the conclusion of my internship at Iridium. I was incredibly lucky to work in a supportive environment where I was challenged every day to seek meaningful opportunities.
As a Cloud & IoT Product Management intern, I used Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build a reference message decoding algorithm for Iridium Edge Pro which significantly decreases the testing time of Iridium's partners' solutions from several months to just a couple of minutes. Thank you to my manager, Jaco Botes, for providing me with the training resources and opening up doors for me to go above and beyond this summer. With all the support and guidance from my manager, I am proud to be the first intern at Iridium to be an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
Moreover, I worked with 4 other interns from various departments across the company to brainstorm and plan a new exciting program and pitched the idea to the C-suite. Thank you to my mentors Joe Darden and Trish W. who helped the team excel at the final pitch and thank you to my teammates Zoe Bredice, Darleidy C. Hernandez, Zakaria Belkhayat, and Brian Shackelford who always brought so many inspiring ideas to the table at every team meeting.
I am grateful for all the connections I have made this summer and I am excited for what's to come next.
