Jackie Simpson is a dedicated advocate for student engagement, leadership, social justice, and spirituality, with a strong emphasis on making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities. With a career that spans several esteemed institutions, Jackie has held influential roles that focus on enhancing student success and promoting diversity within educational environments. Currently, Jackie is involved with the Student Success initiative at ASU Watts College of Public Service & Community Solutions, where her work continues to inspire and support students from various backgrounds.

Previously, Jackie made significant contributions to the University of Michigan as the Director of the Trotter Multicultural Center and the Spectrum Center. In these roles, she fostered inclusive spaces that celebrated diversity and provided critical support for underrepresented students. As the Associate Director of Leadership Education, Jackie focused on empowering students with the skills and resources necessary for effective leadership development, emphasizing the importance of social justice in leadership practices. Jackie's journey also includes her impactful tenure at Iowa State University as a Hall Director, where she influenced residential student life, and at the American International School of Mallorca, where she served as the Director of Boarding and Teacher, enriching the education experience for students abroad.

Jackie Simpson's academic journey has been pivotal in shaping her expertise in counseling and student affairs. She earned her Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from the renowned University of North Carolina at Greensboro. This advanced degree equipped her with the tools necessary for supporting students' emotional, personal, and academic growth, reinforcing her dedication to student wellness and success.

Prior to her master's degree, Jackie obtained her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology and Spanish Literature, also from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. This dual focus not only enhanced her psychological understanding of human behavior but also gave her an appreciation for cultural narratives and the importance of language in shaping individual and collective identities. Through her education, Jackie developed valuable insights and competencies that inform her work in educational leadership and advocacy.
