As the volume of new pilot customers at Seam has started to ramp up, we’ve had to constantly re-engineer our sales and onboarding flows 🌐

Here are the 5x major changes we’ve made internally:

  1. Stakeholder buy-in

Seam touches every corner of an organization. It’s not just about getting a manager on board — it requires the backing of multiple executives. Our goal is to show each stakeholder the unique value that our platform brings, with clear KPIs and metrics that support their role.

  1. Precision with POCs

Our POC can be focused on a specific vertical of a business. We first ensure the initial stakeholder is satisfied, then confirm the vertical leader’s approval. Critically, we make sure to communicate openly so no one feels blindsided as we dive into their internal operations.

  1. Bespoke solutions

We pride ourselves on the flexibility of our platform, building custom solutions tailored to each customer’s unique needs. At the end of the day, we’re still an early-stage company with a lot to learn — and we’re always looking for edge use cases and ways to improve.

  1. Executive alignment

We work closely with C-suite executives — CEOs and CFOs — to ensure our solution aligns with their strategic vision. We’re constantly working to connect the dots across various stakeholders and deliver value that resonates across the * entire * organization.

  1. Return to office

The ongoing debate about return-to-office policies is pushing companies to reassess their approach. So, we’re pushing hard on our ability to provide data-driven insights to help teams effectively navigate these changes and adapt to evolving hybrid dynamics.

As Seam continues to scale, we’re always looking to meet more partners and get more feedback on our product. If you’re interested in learning more, drop me a line!

Since co-founding Seam, I learned OKRs don’t provide timely data on what’s happening with the business.

Measuring real-time productivity, day-to-day effort, and weekly output does 💪

When other executives and founders hear that I track these metrics, they usually have the same reaction:

👉They want access to this data — but are worried about the potential cultural impact it could have on the team.

Here are the most common objections I hear when talking to HR leaders vs. what Seam truly does:

1️⃣ People don’t like to be monitored

Software that tracks keystrokes, mouse movements and active windows are an invasion of privacy.

Seam provides insights into employee performance based on ingested data from tools they already use.

2️⃣ Measuring productivity feels like Big Brother

Some companies HEAVILY track productivity in certain departments (sales, customer support, etc.) but don't track productivity in others.

Seam helps employees advocate for themselves and the company through fair and transparent access to performance data.

3️⃣ Managers will use this data to micromanage

Managers checking in too frequently to “see where things are at” erodes productivity and reduces agency.

With Seam’s real-time data, managers only ping employees when needed.
