I had a discussion earlier today about what excites people most about AI. My take is that it’s when AI enables us to do things we couldn’t do before.
Early skeptics are largely challenging AI to perform better than humans who are already champions in their domains. Like the top lawyer, distinguished engineer or top journalist.
If you can’t drive a car, you’re likely to be very impressed with self-driving cars. But if you’re like most people who believe they’re the best driver on the road, you’ll probably be more skeptical at first. Nevertheless, it’s more than likely that we’ll all be driving self-driving cars at some point.
I also touched the subject when speaking with Jill Malandrino on Nasdaq a few days ago.
