After reading a pretty poorly researched post by Pavan Belagatti on Linkedin yesterday, I tried to figure out how he had become a connection. I haven't worked with him, met him at a conference, or collaborated on a project. I must have responded to a Linkedin invite and since he was connected a bunch of my network assumed I knew him somehow. But, the deeper I look the more I think he doesn't actually know almost any of us -- a few friends I've spoken to who are connections share the same thing. And, when I've gone back and really read some of his writing, most of it sounds vaguely right until you actually read it and grasp that it doesn't actually make sense. I'm not sure what a growth hacker and digital storyteller is, but after removing the link last night I've gotten an immediate request to reconnect from him. Is this a thing now?
