Jacques Bernier

Jacques Bernier is a prominent figure in the Canadian technological innovation scene, known for a career marked by his involvement in over a dozen emerging high-tech companies. He began his journey after graduating from Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. His early ventures included creating the Montreal Industrial Innovation Center, co-founding BGH Planning, and OMVPE Technologies. From 1987 to 2002, he led Téléport de Montréal, a unique telecommunication/real estate/incubator hub merged with Bell Canada Enterprise Globemedia in 2001.

Subsequently, he served as Senior Vice-president Information Technologies, Telecommunications, and Industrial Innovations at Solidarity Fund FTQ from 2004 to 2008. Mr. Bernier's career also featured roles like President of Mégapoint, Executive Chairman of LXSIX Photonics, and eventually founding Teralys Capital, a technology Fund of Funds. A sought-after speaker, he has shared insights on technological innovation, entrepreneurship, and high-tech financing globally.

Educationally, Jacques Bernier pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal and completed studies in Sciences at Bois De Boulogne. He has been associated with various organizations like IRICoR, Institut de recherche en immunologie et en cancérologie, Quartier de l'innovation, PolyFinances, InnoCité MTL, CCIM, Finance Montréal, and CVCA, among others. His leadership spans across a multitude of boards, including IRICoR, Pixcom, Toon Boom Technologies, LxSix Photonics inc, and many more.
