Professor in physical chemistry

Jacques-Edouard Moser is a prominent figure in the field of Photochemical Dynamics, leading the Photochemical Dynamics Group at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology at Lausanne (EPFL).

His main research area delves into the ultrafast dynamics of photoinduced charge separation and recombination in various systems, including molecular, semiconductor, and hybrid setups, with a particular focus on applications in photovoltaics and lighting.

With a strong educational background, Jacques-Edouard Moser holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry and an Ing. chim. dipl. EPF in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, both from EPFL.

Throughout his career, he has held several key positions at EPFL, including being a Titular Professor, Director of the Section of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and serving as a Privat Docent and Lecturer.

Prior to his current role, Jacques-Edouard Moser has enriched his experience through engagements such as being a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Eastman Kodak Company, a Visiting Scientist at Concordia University, and a Chemical Engineer at Sandoz.
