Before I joined RBC Capital Markets last week in NYC, I spent my graduation break in the most interesting way I could arrange: participating in a Crypto internship at Paysafe’s London office.

For 6 weeks, I delved into something I had never been exposed to before (outside of headlines and memes) in a city I had often visited, but never lived in. It was one of the most rewarding things I have done to date. The result? A comprehensive whitepaper outlining the global regulatory environment for digital assets around major world regions. Give it a read if you’re curious and let me know what you think in the comments!

The truth is that an endeavor like an international internship really does takes a village and this would not have been made possible without key stakeholders around me:

Firstly I’d like to thank Tommy Marshall and the Georgia FinTech Academy for building these relationship for future talent like myself. Huge shoutout to the Georgia State Honors College and Dr. Sarah Cook for facilitating this incredible opportunity. And of course, immense thanks to everyone in the team at Paysafe who empowered me to be successful in this experience: Jamie Brew, Elbruz Yılmaz, Samuel Collins, Jamie Forrester, Zwelli B., Adrian Dyu, Chi Eun Lee and the many others who made me feel like part of the team from day #1 - thank you.

To my fellow students/young professionals: if you have the opportunity to study or work abroad: DO IT. It broadens your perspective and enriches your life experiences (plus it makes you a better professional all around)

Disclosure: I’ve received permission to post this and all Paysafe proprietary information has been redacted.

To close out a month dedicated to gratitude, I’d like to highlight an experience I’m immensely grateful for.

In August of this year, I successfully finished my Investment Banking internship in New York City and packed my bags to move to France for a semester.

I began my study abroad experience at the University of Strasbourg’s Ecole de Management Strasbourg where I focused on European Economic Policy, International Strategy, Economics of Happiness and Success, and French for Business Affairs.

Throughout the past few months of major change, I have been immersed in the French culture, achieving and strengthening my B2-level proficiency in the French language.

I’ve been fortunate to have travelled to 9 countries throughout Europe and Africa, broadening my horizons and learning one universal truth: no matter the language, nationality, or ethnicity we are ultimately more alike than we are different.

Professionally, I’ve had the great opportunity of going on my first international business trip with Project Destined as we visited one of Tishman Speyer’s assets in central London.

It has been a transformative semester to say the least and I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for mentors and leaders who have supported and guided me on this journey. Huge thanks to Cedric Bobo, Mark Goldstein, Elliott Schires, Jere Jarlstrom, the CEPA Foundation, THE GOIZUETA FOUNDATION, INC., and Uli Leibrecht and Harald Leibrecht for hosting me at the beautiful Château de Pourtalès.

The best is yet to come.
