Highlights
Today, on International Women's Day, we celebrate the strength of women, the power of allyship, and the importance of diversity and inclusion. I was grateful to hear today's inspiring panel discussion hosted by the HUB Women Network (HWN) ERG. The discussion served as a reminder of our progress and the work that still needs to be done.
The impromptu HWN Organizing Team photo session that followed the discussion was an inspiring moment that demonstrated the support across our organization. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of allyship and the value of celebrating diversity.
Let's continue to work towards a more inclusive world and celebrate the contributions and achievements of all women. Happy International Women's Day! #LifeAtHUB #InternationalWomensDay

For the past few days, I had the honor of representing both HUB International and NAAIA Chicago at the NAAIA (National African American Insurance Association) Annual Conference in Columbus, OH! To be in community with 800+ insurance professionals and allies, learning, networking, celebrating and supporting one another was priceless! So many gems were dropped and connections were made, not only in the sessions, but through organic conversations, over meals, during breaks, on the elevators and in the exhibitor hall.
DESMOND CLARK kicked off the conference and challenged us to be true to our name and our word, build good relationships, commit to excellence, be self-motivated and define our passionate purpose! NAAIA founder, Jerald L. Tillman, LUTCF shared his wisdom and the importance of being clear about your purpose, being in alignment with that purpose and creating focus (thank you for your purpose and vision, Mr. Tillman)! These key themes were reinforced throughout the entire conference!
I found so much joy in spending quality, “in-person” time with my HUB colleagues, Kim McCormick, CIC, AINS, CPIW and Lee V. Bethel, CLU,ChFC,REBC,RHU, CASL, AIF, CPFA, C(k)P, exchanging ideas on how to leverage key learnings from the conference to increase the impact of the HUB Black Inclusion Network ERG. And, as a new NAAIA Chicago board member, the connection with my board colleagues was energizing! As I hear often, “the work happens between the meetings” so I’m excited to get to work with current and new colleagues in insurance!
To Omari Jahi Aarons, MDiv and the entire NAAIA National staff, volunteers, and all who contributed to such a meaningful and impactful conference, thank you!!
To quote so many, being here felt like “home” and I can’t wait for next year!
