Jair Ribeiro is a prominent figure in the Brazilian business and education sectors with a rich and diverse career spanning several decades.

He is the partner and executive director of Sertrading S.A., a leading import-export company, and has been involved in various impactful initiatives such as founding and serving as the President of NGO Parceiros da Educação and Casa do Saber.

Mr. Ribeiro's professional journey began in 1979 as a corporate lawyer at Pinheiro Neto Advogados, following which he co-founded and led Banco Patrimônio, a successful investment bank that he later sold to Chase, where he assumed the role of President of Chase Brazil.

After a series of significant roles in the financial sector, including directing the international equities area of JP Morgan in New York, Mr. Ribeiro shifted his focus to the tech industry, co-founding and serving as CEO of CPM Braxis S.A., a prominent Brazilian IT service company.

In addition to his business ventures, Mr. Ribeiro is deeply involved in education, being the founder of Partners in Education (Parceiros da Educação), an NGO fostering partnerships between businesses and public schools, and playing key roles in various educational institutions and councils.

Jair Ribeiro holds a law degree from the University of São Paulo, an economics degree from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado, and a Masters in Law (LLM) from the University of California, Berkeley. He was also a visiting scholar at Stanford University's School of Education.
