James Gifford is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in impact advisory, sustainable finance, and responsible investment.

He pursued a PhD in Economics focusing on 'The Effectiveness of Shareholder Engagement in Improving ESG Performance of Companies' at the University of Sydney and a Master of Environmental Management with a thesis on 'SRI - The costs and benefits of screening and shareholder activism' at the University of New South Wales.

Gifford has held prominent positions including Head of Impact Advisory at Credit Suisse, Senior Fellow at the Centre for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth at the University of Zurich, and Head of Impact Investing at the Chief Investment Office in UBS Wealth Management.

His past roles include serving in various advisory and directorial capacities at organizations such as Brown Advisory, Harvard Kennedy School, Tau Investment Management, and the Principles for Responsible Investment, a United Nations-backed initiative.

Furthermore, he has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Griffith University and as an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Management at the University of St Andrews.
