Highlights
Not in the MLS (yet)... With the summer season winding down, we have been busy helping clients prepare their homes for the Fall market and have a handful of wonderful homes across the DC Metro area available to our clients before they go Public. Currently we're helping clients get their homes ready for the Fall market in Petworth, Capitol Hill, NoMa, Colonial Village, Penn Quarter, Potomac, Rockville, Bethesda, Damascus, University Park, Riverdale, Arlington, Alexandria and McLean. In addition to our upcoming team listings, we have access to an extensive "off line" catalog of homes through our brokerage and the DC Metro area's Top Agent Network. If you would like us to "keep you in the loop" on opportunities in your desired neighborhoods or are curious about the value of your home with the latest wave of summer sales, send us a message to join our "Dream Home Finder Program" or for your professional "Home Equity Report".
Fall Market Outlook We are looking forward to our traditionally active Fall real estate market. After a challenging period of low inventory and high interest rates over the past few years, we are seeing a loosening in the market and improvements on both fronts. We anticipate lower interest rates this Fall and new year which will bring a portion of the market back and we expect families who've been "trapped by low rates" in their current homes to re-emerge as more options to move appear and familial needs outweigh higher rates. While some neighborhoods remain very tight on the inventory front, other neighborhoods are seeing a consistent month over month increase in available housing. This week we were on tour with clients in DC and Potomac, and both tours offered several promising homes and an ability to negotiate with Sellers more eager to engage. This is welcome news to many of our first time and “trade up” Buyers who have had trouble entering the market since 2020. The DC Metro Area market remains one of the most robust real estate markets in the country. While sales decreased over the past year, the main driver in the softer market was the lack of quality housing options, and the highest interest rates we've seen in years, pricing out many would be buyers. With both factors trending in the right direction, we're excited for what the Fall market has in store. Whether you are in or out of the market, we’re here to be your local resource for all things Real Estate. If we can be helpful, give us a call or send us a message.
