Exciting News! At the World Knowledge Forum last week, I had the privilege of sitting down with Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, to discuss the fascinating intersection of artificial intelligence and education.
In this talk, Sam and I dive deep into the role of AI technology in education, exploring its immense possibilities, challenges, and ethical considerations. We share insights, ideas, and visions for how AI can empower educators and learners alike, ushering in a new era of personalized, accessible, and effective education and perhaps even more importantly the broader impact on society.
I'm thrilled to share this conversation with you, as it's a topic close to my heart. Our dialogue with OpenAI delves into the exciting ways in which Minerva Project is already transforming classrooms in a post-AI world and what the future may hold. We talk about implementations at Minerva University, Zayed University, Universidad de la Libertad, University of Miami, and others. Whether you're an educator, a student, a tech enthusiast, a policy maker, or simply curious about the future of education, I encourage you to watch this video.
As I said at the outset of the conversation, this was an opportunity for Sam and I to talk about the implications of AI in a way that we rarely get to talk about in public. I hope that it will be a thought-provoking discussion for you that could help you reframe how you think about learning in the coming years. Watch the video at https://lnkd.in/dXM93rBX and let's continue the conversation in the comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the role of AI in education and where you see the biggest opportunities for positive change. Together, we must reimagine education for the better. #AIinEducation #FutureOfLearning #EdTech
The greatest privilege in my life was to found Minerva University. The most humbling, perhaps, occurred yesterday as Minerva Project helped welcome the first new university in the world based on our educational model, Universidad de la Libertad, less than a decade after our own launch. Our work would not have been made possible without the leadership and support of Fernando Valenzuela Migoya who has been a champion of the Minerva way for years. Getting to work alongside Rosan Bosch to reimagine what a Minerva education could look like in a spectacular, custom built campus was a thrill. Most importantly, the opportunity to help bring Grupo Salinas’ CEO Ricardo Salinas Pliego’s vision of higher education to fruition has been an absolute joy. I had the chance to talk with the founding students of the university and they are an extraordinary group that will further our mission of nurturing critical wisdom for the sake of the world. Let us hope that many more such new institutions will join our growing, global network of partners committed to reforming #highereducation for the better.
