Highlights
This Saturday I will be cycling on the Summer solstice from Whitley Bay to Ayr; setting off at sunrise with the aim of beating the sunset! 🌅
The distance is 320km 🚴 ; the ascent is 3,200m 🏔️; the calories burned (and consumed!) will be ~10,000 🍴 It's a challenge I'm thankful to be completing with Nathan Walsh, M.ISP and Adam A. This is for a fantastic cause in Macmillan Cancer Support , and we are looking to raise as much as we can to support the tremendous work that they do 💚.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated 🙏
496 Challenge Update…
At the start of this month I announced I was going to undertake the 496 Challenge to raise money and awareness for The Max Ward Foundation.
The premise of the challenge being:
“If you run 1km on the first of the month, 2km on the 2nd of the month and so on. Eventually (on a month with 31 days) you’ll run a total of 496km."
You would be forgiven for thinking if I didn’t get beyond the first week then its not much of a challenge! Well, here I am.. still standing (just) 😂
- 49 hours and 23 minutes later 🕰️
- 500.4km covered 🏃♂️
- ~550k steps 🦶
- 31 days completed 🗓️
- Garmin proof 😉 https://lnkd.in/e5nYRh_2
I’ve had some wonderful support and encouragement along the way (there’s been some challenging moments especially in the last few days!) for which I am incredibly grateful 💛 Phil Robinson Adam A Tom Kinsella Andrew Choyce FCIPD
