James Weinberg is a distinguished professional in the nonprofit sector, with a wealth of experience in leadership and capacity-building initiatives. Currently serving as the CEO of FUSE, a prominent national nonprofit that collaborates with local governments to tackle critical challenges through innovative and equitable solutions. FUSE boasts a remarkable track record of overseeing 400+ projects in 58 cities and counties across 26 states, positively impacting over 1 in 10 Americans.

Before his role at FUSE, James excelled as the Co-Founder & Chairman of AchieveMission, a leading management-consulting firm that provided guidance to nonprofits and foundations in enhancing their leadership development capabilities. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Commongood Careers, a renowned retained search firm specializing in recruiting for nonprofit organizations, which later merged with Koya Leadership Partners. During his tenure as CEO, Commongood Careers facilitated the placement of over 600 leaders in 200 organizations, establishing itself as a thought leader in talent-related matters within the social sector.

James's dedication to social causes is evident through his prior positions, including the role of National Development Director at BELL (Building Educated Leaders for Life), where he played a key role in expanding educational programs for children from low-income communities. Additionally, he founded the Homeless Children's Education Fund, advocating for educational equality for homeless children. Beyond his professional engagements, James has served in various board roles, notably as the National Board Chair of Coro and as the Board Chair of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP). He has also been actively involved in nonprofit board memberships and convened the groundbreaking White House Forum on Nonprofit Leadership during the Obama Administration.

James's academic achievements include a Master's in Public Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University, where he honed his skills in strategic decision-making. He also holds a Bachelor's degree summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in Psychology and Classics from Tufts University, showcasing his diverse academic interests and intellectual curiosity.
