Highlights
With my recent ahem surfeit of free time, I decided to finish off a technical project I've been doing on-and-off for bit. I've always been curious about electronics design adages like "put a .1 µF capacitor next to every chip". I built a setup to measure what capacitors actually do on a PCB. I made a test board, ran some experiments, and put together the results here: https://lnkd.in/ghhWi9iU (5–10 min read).
It's been an interesting couple of weeks - after returning from a lovely trip to Kauai, I found out that I was caught up in Particle's recent round of cuts. I've spent the last week inching along some personal projects, but I'm keen to start looking at other opportunities. I've been working in and around hardware the last few years, and it remains an area of deep interest, but I'm also willing to consider a lot of generalist software roles at the senior/staff level. I'm still in the exploratory stage of my job search, so pointers to companies doing interesting work and soft intros are greatly appreciated! #OpenToWork
