Jan Wade
President and GM at WISN-TV
Jan Wade is a veteran television executive who served as the President and General Manager of WISN-TV, Hearst Television's ABC affiliate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 2007 until her retirement at the end of 2024.23 She was Milwaukee's first female television general manager.2
During her tenure at WISN-TV, Wade led the station to consistent excellence and solidified its position as Milwaukee's news leader.2 Under her leadership, WISN-TV expanded its local news and programming, adding several new newscasts and programs.2 The station maintained its market-leading news position throughout her time there and won numerous awards, including multiple regional Edward R. Murrow Awards and the 2023 News Operation of the Year designation from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.2
Prior to joining Hearst Television, Wade had a long career in the television industry, including roles as:

Wade holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Communications with a Business Minor from Ball State University.12 She has been active in industry organizations, serving as board chair of the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and on the ABC TV Board of Governors.2
Throughout her career, Wade has been recognized for her contributions to the industry and community, including being named to Milwaukee Business Journal's "Women of Influence" honor roll in 2017 and receiving The Silver Circle Award from the Midwest/Chicago Emmy Chapter in 2023.2
