Janel Hull is a dedicated public engagement and communications professional with a specialized focus on involving diverse audiences in environmental initiatives.

She brings a wealth of experience in community engagement, strategic communications, project management, and storytelling to her role as Senior Communications Advisor at the Department of Conservation (DOC), focusing on Predator Free 2050.

Janel recently completed a Master's program in science engagement and communications at the Centre for Science in Society, expanding her knowledge and skills in this field.

Her career journey includes working with various organizations such as EnviroIssues Consulting, Johnson Creek Watershed Council, the City of Gresham Department of Environmental Services, and West Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District on projects related to water resources, urban planning, and natural resources.

Passionate about the environment, Janel also indulges in spending time in nature, solo-tramping Long Trails, birdwatching, and engaging in a storytelling project centered on community members' relationships with local rivers.

Her educational background includes a Master's degree in Science in Society with a focus on Science Engagement and Communications from Victoria University of Wellington and a study in Biology and Ecology at Lewis & Clark College.
