Highlights
Dear LinkedIn,
2023 was nuts. I got married, moved back home to Los Angeles, reunited with old friends and family, cooked a ton, cried a lot, saw a lot of movies and art and have come out the other side rejuvenated and energized for 2024. This year, I'm taking charge of my own professional destiny by working on projects that really inspire me and push me creatively and intellectually. For too long I've chosen the safer route, and you know what? I was miserable because of it.
While I’m still very much interested in audio, I’m also looking to work on creative projects across the non-profit/ philanthropy sector, tech, media, and food/ arts.
Think of me as a multi-hyphenate producer. I’m very comfortable working cross-collaboratively, I run a tight (production) ship from start to finish but also give the creative process room to breathe where possible because this leads to the best ideas, I speak revenue and partnerships, and really am at my best when I can take your 30,000 foot vision and execute it into a meaningful experience for your audience.
Here’s where I could use your help:
- Are you or know someone who is looking for freelance or consulting work across the above industries? DM me!
- Explore my services and portfolio on my brand new website! WWW.HIJANETLEE.COM
- Contact me for a free consultation: Reach out for a complimentary consultation to discuss how I can help your business.
- Have you worked with me in the past and loved it? Share this post with your network or lmk if you’d be down to write a 1-2 sentence endorsement on my LinkedIn. :)
Happy New Year! <3
Welp. #yearoftherabbit strikes again. I've been laid off at VICE.
Still shell shocked because the VICE Audio team was/ is so so talented. It's really been an honor to work with some of the smartest, sharpest, kindest, creative storytellers in the business.
This all comes at the heels of a bi-coastal move, but perhaps rather than seeing this year as inevitably doomed, it's the universe forcing me to finally take that break. To rest, and recalibrate for an inevitable rebirth/ renaissance.
I'm a free agent now! If you know of any opportunities, cool projects in audio or impact-driven work or community building/ programming, food media, partnership opportunities, Asian-American initiatives, let me know!
