In 2018, I attended Onsite’s Living Centered Program. I often describe that experience as “life-changing.” Not surprisingly, that experience not only had a significant impact on me personally but also professionally.
Over the last five years, Miles and I have dreamed about taking the magic and history of Onsite’s 45 years of transforming individuals and parlaying that into transforming organizations. This year I am excited to share that we have taken that step and are introducing Onsite Business Services to expand our mission of “designing and delivering transformational experiences that optimize life and build meaning and value into the human experience“ by positively impacting the emotional health and well-being of the communities we spend at least 1/3 of our time in – our places of work.
We’re building this work on shared understandings:
(1) The past three years have brought about a seismic shift in the emotional health of Americans, which is reflected in the workplace. (2) The most sustainable way to unlock the capacity of a team is to unlock the capacity of each human on the team. (3) We can be both “human” and “successful” at the same time – in fact, being more aware of what makes us human can make us individually and collectively more successful (4) Becoming a better leader starts with becoming a better human. (5) Understanding, living, and working from a fully integrated place equips us to see, hear, value, and lead others into increased connection and belonging (6) We must hold the tension of driving performance while caring for our most important resource – our people. (7) We must be willing to assess, process, and explore our internal mindsets and identify obstacles that block us from authentic connection. This is what you’ll often hear us call “the work.”
