CALL TO ACTION! I was hoping to have a slow segue into #LaborDay weekend, but no such luck. We need your help!
Just saw this post from Victoria Tomlinson FRSA, and yes, I'm outraged! As someone who spends her time educating employers about the [VERY STRONG] business case for older workers and intergenerational teams, this kind of #ageist article with accompanying image (shown here) that reeks of #ageism is not acceptable. And it's from Indeed, of all places!
The CALL TO ACTION:
-
SHARE THIS ON YOUR OWN FEED, AND TAG THE AUTHORS (INDEED'S EDITORIAL TEAM), AND ASK THEM TO TAKE IT DOWN Russ Garcia, Jennifer Herrity, Jocelyne Gafner, Audrey Eads, @Angelo Mendoza, @Lisa Lagace. Also message CEO Chris Hyams and let him know it's not a good look for a job website!
-
Write to [email protected] and ask them to write a more accurate article. Indeed, I'm personally happy to write an article for you on the business case for older workers and intergenerational teams, as well as why categorizing by age and generation is not smart business.
