Web browser adoption (1994 - 2022)

The "browser wars" started off in the 1990's between Microsoft's Internet explorer against Netscape's navigator. The second from the early to mid 2,000's between Mozilla's Firefox, Microsoft's IE, Apple's safari and smaller players including Opera. Come 2017, Google Chrome came along and has dominated ever since.

While there will always be problems with browsers, at the end of the day consumers will gravitate towards the superior product that suits their specific needs. Whether they're looking for features in privacy, speed, convenience or inter-operability, market leaders can't take their position for granted in a fast moving space like this.
