Hey everyone - Thought I would share a life update since my abrupt disappearance from the Fintech scene. First off, I would like to thank everyone who reached out with warm regards and support since NY Fintech Week. Your messages lifted my spirits, and I can't thank you enough.

So, for the past couple of months, I've been doing some soul-searching and recharging. Right after NY Fintech Week, I hit pause on my career to focus on the things I've been neglecting - spending quality time with loved ones, creating, and taking time to heal.

For those who don't know me that well, I made the move to NYC from Charlotte about two years ago with just two suitcases and a burning desire to make all of my dreams come true.  I've always been the “all gas, no brakes” hustling type so I thought to myself, "How hard can NYC really be?" Looking back now, I can't help but laugh at my naivety.

While I was at peak performance in both my career and creative side hustle, my mind, body and soul had never been so depleted. Those long days in the office followed by even longer nights at mural sites took a serious toll on me. I began self-isolating because I thought that’s how I would honor my grind and stay focused. I struggled in silence for much longer than I should have because I was trying to prove to myself I could do it all and I didn’t need any help. But boy, was I wrong.

If you're anything like me - a bit of a workaholic who bites off more than they can chew - let me tell you, there's nothing noble about burning yourself out over and over again. It took me a while to realize that sacrificing all things that bring you joy for the sake of professional growth isn't sustainable or worth it. So, I took a much-needed step back, focused on my personal growth, embraced stillness, and started prioritizing my passions.

While I might return to the Fintech scene down the line, right now, I'm all about prioritizing my mental and physical well-being, along with nurturing my creativity. It's all about chasing that real pursuit of happiness, you know?

Speaking of creativity, if anyone wants to support me in this next chapter and needs some custom art for their office, trade show, or even something personal, hit me up! Let's bring those creative ideas to life together ✨

Better late than never, amirite?  Had an absolute blast at Money20/20 in Vegas!

Favorite highlights:  -Speaking on a panel with the amazing Veronica Genao and Josh Campos, diving deep in the discussion of "Leveraging your identity superpower in your career." Grateful for the opportunity to rock the stage with these two!

-Roaming the floor, exploring all the epic companies. Had a blast taking on Double Dare with my friend Shadè Alcine at the Paze℠ booth and geeking out with SAGE, the AI Pathfinder, at SoftServe's booth about my dream home.

-And the cherry on top? Quality time with my incredible co-worker - shoutout to Samantha Reichstein. We're a small but mighty squad always grinding, so it was refreshing to have some fun time together.

It was so great seeing my FinTech friends and making tons of new connections! Can't wait to reunite with the community this upcoming April for NY FinTech Week and the Empire FinTech Conference!
