Highlights
TechTO is hosting a Toronto Y Combinator Alumni holiday party in December together with Humi (W17).
We sent out the invites on Monday, and so far:
- More than 80 (!) YC founders are already registered for the event
- The oldest YC alum that has registered is from S11 (12 years ago!)
- The newest YC alum that has registered is from W24 (hasn't even started yet!)
The event is only open to people in Bookface (the YC founder directory) and a few select sponsors to help us cover the costs.
If you are a YC founder (current or alumni) and didn't get an invite from me, please let me know so I can send you the details.
If you're not a YC founder but are interested in supporting this unique community, please let me know.
I will be at #TechTO tonight from 6pm-9pm at OneEleven (Front and Spadina).
Here are some things I'm being asked about on Linkedin this week that we can chat about live together:
- Your YC application or interview
- Raising VC from Canada in the current market
- How to find a job in tech today
We'll also get to learn from and meet some of Toronto's leading tech leaders, like:
- Laura Zizzo of Manifest Climate - Craig Follett of Peggy
- Joshua Kelly of Flexpa
- Carol Leaman of Axonify and Lindsey Goodchild of Nudge, an Axonify company.
Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, or $20 for TechTO Insider members. Includes food and a drink. Link to tickets in the comments.
