I SPENT 10 YEARS BELIEVING SALES WAS A GRIND ABOUT OVERCOMING OBJECTIONS WITH REBUTTALS⏤ In the middle 90s, I was over at a friend’s and saw How To Master The Art Of Selling by Tom Hopkins. Oooh, I thought: sales. That’d be cool.

So I borrowed the book and learned that #sales was about memorization. Rebuttals. Tie downs. Clamping down and holding onto the prospect until they “buy or die.”

Only one problem: I hated what selling made me have to do. It felt flat out awful.

I worked with companies with 10 or more people in the sales department. And in each case I found it was “Come As You Are”: none had a sales training program. Heck, none of them had a consistent sales * process. *

Nobody offered to share a technique. Nobody offered mentorship. Looking back, I don’t think anybody knew anything. They were flying by the seat of their pants. I wasn’t any different.

After having gone back and forth between sales roles and factory management jobs--the thing I went to college for--I had gotten used to selling high ticket items with five, six, and seven figure price tags.

But it took me drifting 10 years into my sales career until I FINALLY had a realization:

Despite being appreciated as a decent salesperson and being able to get pretty much any sales job I aimed for...

...I didn’t know why I got some orders and didn’t get others.

That was the day my world changed.

That realization opened my mind up to a question. A question I had ignored the entire time, that whole decade: Is there another style of selling?

And the answer is, “YES!”

I learned a way to make sales that is ethical. It’s effective. And I feel great about what I’m doing when I do it.

This way of conducting sales lets me treat prospects the way I want to be treated.

The “Buy Or Die” thing? No more.

I’ve been teaching this style of selling for ten years. In fact, my first role in the US was senior consultant to a sales training firm doing that very thing.

A few years back, I started updating Sales On Fire, the training program I first developed in 2012. That's right--it has been helping business owners and salespeople for a dozen years. I've had new insights and practiced new techniques since the last major update These videos show you a powerful, ethical, even fun way of selling that benefits both you and your customer.

The SOF 2020 course goes for $2995. It's not for broke newbies looking for a miracle. But for someone with a real business... a post-revenue SaaS founder looking to train their team and themselves, for example; anyone in a serious B2B situation, where you're offering a solution at $1000+... then it's a no-brainer.

You can get the program through the link in the first comment. And if you get it through this thread, message me after you buy: I'll give you a 1:1 consultation to personalize everything and point you in the right direction. (Normally I charge $4100 for a 2-call package at jasonkanigan dot com, so understand how valuable this is). #salestraining
