Jason Mogus

Senior advisor to campaign directors and funders on climate, nature, and justice campaigns.

Jason Mogus is a passionate practitioner of directed-networks, blending social movements with NGO skills to drive transformative change. He served as a Special Advisor at The Sunrise Project, aiding in scaling their impact globally. Prior to this, he co-founded NetChange, a pioneering digital agency for social change. With over 25 years of experience, Jason has contributed to numerous high-profile campaigns and organizations, including BlackRock's Big Problem, global bank divestment campaigns, #StopAdani, and the Tar Sands Campaign.

Jason Mogus has also supported digital transformation and new campaigns for institutions like Human Rights Watch, The UN Foundation, and the David Suzuki Foundation. He has been involved in Indigenous-led climate justice efforts, including advising RAVEN Trust. Furthermore, he co-authored the Networked Change Report, established the Web of Change conference, and was a Leadership Fellow at the Broadbent Institute.

Jason's educational background includes studies in Environmental Geography and Student Politics at The University of British Columbia, as well as attending White Oaks Secondary School in Oakville, ON. His professional experience spans roles such as Principal Strategist at NetChange Consulting, Senior Campaigns Consultant at The Sunrise Project, Senior Advisor at Tar Sands Campaign, and Director of Operations at Ashta Systems Consultants Inc.

Currently residing on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples on Salt Spring Island, BC, Canada, Jason enjoys activities like soccer, hiking, and cycling. He values connecting with people worldwide through 'walk and talk' calls in the coastal rainforest.
