Highlights
One of the biggest things I’m weighing up with our competitive strategy at Klue right now is trying to triangulate the opportunities available.
What does that mean?
Well, for context Klue has:
- Raised a strong amount of capital
- Spent judiciously so we have a strong balance sheet
- Entered a new win-loss category and is quickly disrupting it
(All while needing to maintain market leadership in our existing competitive intel category.)
In order for us to win in our market, I have to look at the opportunities.
For example, every CEO is being presented with acquisition opportunities to accelerate their advantage, address a gap, or exploit an opportunity. Just a handful of questions that arise around that:
🎯 What is the value of acquiring additional technology in serving our goals? 🔓 How much value is there in bringing in a new client based that we wouldn’t have previously had access to? 🧱 What skill sets and learnings would a team have that can supercharge a product we’re building?
These are the bets that leaders (myself included) need to weigh up. In order to do so, I need data and the unvarnished truth about our competitors, our buyers, and the market we’re in.
Without that, I’ll be making a seven digit gamble blindfolded.
You need the unvarnished truth from your buyers.
And so much of that truth about you (and your competitors) is sitting within sales calls.
But here's the problem:
- It is nearly impossible to know what competitors are in which deals (because no one can trust the competitor field in your CRM)
- It is noisy to find competitor mentions in call recordings
- Relying on sales to share every piece of competitive intel means things slip through the cracks.
And so our customers using awesome tools like Gong are finding themselves like poor old Hunter; getting disparate notifications and Slack message until it all turns into white noise.
Which is why we built our Klue x Gong integration.
You can read more about some of the ways this is helping product marketers and Compete teams here: https://lnkd.in/gSB4tBC2
But the tl;dr 👇
- See how often competitors are coming up in calls most so you're not relying on gut feel among execs or the loudest rep in the room.
- Know which competitive deals you should prioritize support based on data
- Add Gong snippets to your battlecards
- Access Klue battlecards in Gong Engage
- Make sure competitive fields are always updated in your CRM so you have a clear picture of your Competitive Revenue Gap and the work you're doing to shrink it.
Our customers in Beta have been raving about this and we cannot wait to now share it with all of our customers using Gong today.
Beyond proud of the team that helped build such a critical product partnership to help our customers compete more effectively.
