Are your bosses running around saying AI-all-the-things? Do you struggle with that fact that AI may not solve all of your problems? Do you yearn for practical discussions around how AI will actually impact your business?

Beyond the obvious data retrieval applications for customer, support, development, and research applications ... I can't help but think the killer application of LLMs is for the adversaries. With an LLM they can write like you, they can sound like you, they can look like you ... The efficacy of social engineering campaigns is only going to get better. Worse, you will not be able to train your way out of this problem.

I've also seen a rash of companies race to introduce AI detectors as a defense, but this feels as knee-jerk as your bosses asking you to solve all problems with AI. If you had a deepfake detector, why not train a better deepfake generator? How do you detect the application of legacy-AI (virtual backgrounds, blemish filters, vocal filtering, etc.)? There may be some heuristic techniques for each of these concerns, but they all sound complicated and expensive for yet another probabilistic result. So, how do you handle the AI threat? Is there a way of redefining the problem that works for your existing team and budget and gives results?

The answer to this question is emphatically yes! The solution does not involve your workforce always doing the right thing. If your identity platform is secure by design it will systematically and seamlessly to attest to provenance of your communications and content.

Marketing is probably upset that I used this many words already, so why not come to our booth to get the rest of the story. We're showing live demos of how a Secure by Design Identity system helps you handle the AI threat at our Black Hat booth next week. Here are the details ...
