He has over 20 publications in respected journals and has mentored junior members who are now pursuing graduate studies at renowned universities.

Javier's specialties include fMRI, resting-state fMRI, realtime-fMRI, cognitive neuroscience, statistics, machine learning, mentoring, science management, and various programming tools like Python and MATLAB.

His professional goal is to develop neuroimaging-based tools to enhance the diagnosis, prognosis, and care of individuals with mental illnesses.
