JD Stier, a former White House official and activist, is a prominent figure known for his impactful work in social justice, entrepreneurship, and filmmaking.

After serving time for a marijuana arrest, JD transitioned into roles as a counselor, community organizer, and advocate, eventually securing a position in the Obama administration, where he focused on addressing mass incarceration.

As the National Outreach Coordinator in the White House Drug Policy Office, JD became the first American with a prior prison sentence to work within the White House and later received a pardon from the Governor of Wisconsin.

Post his tenure at the White House, JD spearheaded transparency campaigns in the tech industry, contributed to creating the Office of the U.S. Special Envoy to Africa's Great Lakes, and produced the documentary series 'I Am Congo.'

In 2014, JD founded Stier Forward, a platform dedicated to thought leadership, media production, and launching social impact initiatives. He subsequently produced impactful documentaries like 'When Elephants Fight' and 'Merci Congo.'

Additionally, JD established Mighty Peace Coffee in 2018, focusing on promoting peace and social good through sustainable coffee sourcing.

JD expanded his endeavors by joining the production team of 'Trace The Line,' managing a U.S. Senate Campaign Exploratory Committee, and furthering the reach of Mighty Peace Coffee to support Congolese farmers.

In the coming years, Mighty Peace Coffee plans to launch a clean water solar electricity initiative, aiming to become the world's first solar-powered coffee company.

Apart from his entrepreneurial ventures, JD is a notable media presence, having contributed to various publications and hosting 'The Mighty Pod,' while making appearances on MSNBC and other shows as a guest.

JD Stier's journey from incarceration to impactful activism and entrepreneurship showcases his dedication to social causes, transparent leadership, and innovative solutions for positive change.

His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
