Jeanne Allen is a dedicated advocate working to advance 21st-century education policies and practices to ensure children have access to the best educational programs and schools.

As the Founder and CEO of the Center for Education Reform (CER), Jeanne has been instrumental in influencing critical changes in the U.S. education landscape for nearly 3 decades.

In 2021, she launched the prestigious $1 million Yass Prize for Sustainable, Transformational, Outstanding, and Permissionless Education in partnership with Forbes, known as the 'Pulitzer of Education', along with the 'STOP' Award Initiative to recognize education providers who excel in serving underserved students.

Jeanne is a prolific writer and commentator, regularly contributing to various blogs, journals, and media outlets including Los Angeles Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, NBC Nightly News, Fox News, CNN, and more.

She authored the book 'An Unfinished Journey - Education & The American Dream' in 2020, offering insights into the challenges and successes within the U.S. education system. She also hosts the 'in Piazza' podcast, featuring engaging discussions on critical public life issues.

Jeanne Allen holds a BA in Political Science from Dickinson College and a Master’s Degree in Education Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania. She has held key roles in various organizations, including Director of the Yass Foundation, President of The Allen Company, and Manager of Education Policy at The Heritage Foundation.
