Jeff Fisher

Associate Professor of Theological Studies and Academic Dean at Kuyper College

Jeff Fisher is a theological scholar and educator with a deep commitment to spiritual formation and historical theology. He currently serves as the Director of Spiritual Formation and Professor of Theology at The Foundry in Grand Rapids, Michigan.1 Previously, he was an Associate Professor of Theological Studies at Kuyper College from July 2013 to June 2021.3

Fisher's academic interests include historical theology, the use of the Old Testament in the New Testament, and the history of biblical exegesis and interpretation.2 He has contributed significantly to the study of Johannes Oecolampadius, a key figure in Reformation history, particularly through his work on Oecolampadius’s Hebrews commentary.2 Fisher is also involved in projects such as editing a commentary on the book of Isaiah.1

In addition to his academic pursuits, Fisher is passionate about developing resilient leaders within the church community. He emphasizes the importance of spiritual formation and encourages others to find strength through the Holy Spirit and Scripture.1
