Jeff Randall is the Commissioner for District 1 and board President of Jefferson County Public Utility District (PUD) in Washington State.21 He has served in this role since January 2017 and was reelected in 2022.2 Randall lives in Port Townsend with his son Soren and is a life-long Washington resident who moved to Jefferson County in 1997.21

Randall has a diverse professional background:

  1. He holds a law degree from the University of Washington.1
  2. He worked in land use planning for cities and counties in Washington State for 14 years, including 8 years as the Planning Director for the City of Port Townsend.1
  3. In 2007, he transitioned to the renewable energy industry, working as a solar designer and sales agent for 11 years.12

Randall is passionate about strengthening Jefferson County's communities. Before his election to the PUD, he led two successful bond campaigns to refurbish a community center and build a new elementary school in Port Townsend.2 He believes he is the first public utility commissioner in Washington State with a background in renewable energy.3

In addition to his role at Jefferson County PUD, Randall was appointed to the Energy Northwest Board of Directors in December 2021.1 He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Central Washington University.1
