Dr. Jeffrey Henderson is a highly skilled physician scientist with a focus on research to enhance the health and wellness of American Indian tribes and communities. He is a continually funded NIH investigator since 2001, emphasizing participatory and strength-based research approaches. In 2020, Dr. Henderson launched the 'American Indian Clinical Trials Research Network' in Rapid City, South Dakota, overseeing multiple industry-sponsored phase 3 vaccine trials, including those for COVID-19, RSV, and Influenza. Dr. Henderson holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Washington, a Doctor of Medicine from UC San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology from UC San Diego. He has held key roles at institutions like the American Indian Clinical Trials Research Network, Black Hills Center for American Indian Health, and the Colorado School of Public Health.
