Who are you below the labels you have for yourself? Below your mental health struggles? Below your symptoms and strategies? The illusion is that we are all our labels and roles in THIS life: doctor, lawyer, daughter, trauma survivor, cancer patient, hard worker. Sure those are behaviors, roles, titles. But you are much more than that, much deeper than that, much bigger than those limiting labels. You are a whole, eternal consciousness and these roles are just ego-driven. They might even be part of your dharma, your path in life. But they are impermanent, changing, and transient. You are not. So tell me below, who are you below all these surface-level identities?

"If I see your needs and dismiss mine, I grow codependence. If I see my needs and dismiss yours, I grow independence. If I see my needs and your needs I grow interdependence, also known as relationship." -@james_fish_gill Too much codependence is enmeshment and will cause suffering. Hyper-independence can do the same, especially because it's usually a strategy we learned in childhood to cope with our environment. Interdependence is a skill and a practice and a path and requires presence, knowing yourself, sharing yourself, opening your heart and working to resolve the strategies you learned in childhood that keep love and connection with self and others at bay. We talk all about this and more in the Find Your Freedom Method - sign up in https://lnkd.in/gDv7AmkR to be alerted when we have our next webinar.
