Chief Executive Officer at My First Five Years Limited

Jennie Johnson MBE, a prominent figure known for revolutionizing the childcare sector, is the founder of Kids Allowed and the current Chief Executive Officer at My First Five Years in EdTech for parents.

With a strong commitment to providing high-quality childcare, Jennie's journey began with her struggle to find suitable childcare for her own children, leading her to establish Kids Allowed in 2003 in the North West of England.

Under Jennie's leadership, Kids Allowed thrived as a standout in the childcare industry, garnering recognition through various awards, including the prestigious national childcare group of the year accolade for its exceptional quality standards.

Employing innovative practices, such as utilizing Net Promoter Score (NPS) to gauge customer and colleague satisfaction, Kids Allowed consistently scored high ratings, ensuring a world-class experience for all stakeholders.

In January 2020, Jennie retired and successfully sold Kids Allowed to Kids Planet, further solidifying her legacy in the childcare domain, having expanded the company to 500 employees and serving around 2000 children weekly across 8 locations.

Prior to her impactful journey in childcare, Jennie embarked on a career in IT Sales and Marketing, starting from a humble beginning in the post room of an IT company in Manchester after leaving school at 16.

Driven by a passion for values-based organizations and fostering high-performing, content teams, Jennie now ventures into Non-Executive Director (NED) roles to share her expertise and contribute to future ventures.
