Jennifer L. Cohen, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Medical Genetics at Duke University Health System.12 She attended Yale College and received her MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.1 Dr. Cohen completed a combined residency program in Pediatrics and Medical Genetics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia before joining the faculty at Duke in 2019.1

Her research interests and expertise focus on perinatal genetic medicine, with a current emphasis on earlier diagnosis and management of rare genetic diseases.1 Dr. Cohen is actively involved in Pompe disease gene therapy trials at Duke and is pursuing studies on in utero treatment for lysosomal storage diseases.1 She is also working on implementing more rapid and comprehensive neonatal diagnostic testing for critically ill infants.1
