It's hard to imagine that 4 years ago during Covid the SaaS hiring market was healthier than it is now....
Every day, I have 10-20 active SaaS candidates reaching out for help finding their next home. However, for the first time in my 20-year career as an executive recruiter, my openings have been incredibly light. Despite this, I remain optimistic that SaaS companies will soon resume hiring their Go-to-market employees. It's crucial to stay calm until interest rates come back down.
Yoram Wijngaarde, CEO and Founder of Dealroom, highlights that US investors anticipate a return to lower interest rates, leading to increased valuation multiples on tech stocks. He predicts a long-term (e.g., 3-5 year) resurgence of capital in tech markets, especially in VC. This shift indicates that the fundraising market for SaaS Startups should become more founder-friendly.
Do you agree that we'll see things change once rates come down? Do we need to wait for the Presidential Election? Is this all just a rebalance from the Saas companies over-hiring?
